Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving is coming up fast...So we have to get ready cause you guys are coming, and we all know that I suck at cleaning.   I needed to set the livingroom to rights, I looked at the built-ins and
holy crap, was the stuff on them was filthy.  All the stuff that got packed in there had to be taken out and put away, or taken to Good Will.  The bottom line is this entire house needs to be cleaned. 

This morning as I am having my coffee,before I call Kathy.  I decided that I would put up a few pics of the cookies that we have been enjoying....and yes, I agree, the white chocolate chips are the best.....so here they are

My favorite (for the day, anyway)

When I was a kid, I still am, my Mom would make us whatever we wanted for our birthday dinner.  We did not go out for dinner, at least that's what I remember.  We would be in the VW bus, and my Mom would pull out apples, peanut butter, crackers, cookies because my Dad and us would always be hungry or thirsty. 

So, on my birthday, my Mom would make me Bone In Pork Chops and Rice a Roni.  I think that Pork chops are still my favorite, problem is that I have sooo many favorites, and so we made them the other day, Andrew grilled the chops and I made Milanese Risotto.  Here they are......and yes they were fab.....

And now, and for the past 34 years, Andrew, my heart, who makes for me,  the best garlic & oil macaroni, steaks that are cooked to perfection, and simply the best grilled pork chops that have ever been made all on that most wonderful of appliances, the BlueStar, in my favorite color, cobalt blue.
