Merry Christmas Part Deux ........

Christmas Day arrived with icy cold temperatures.  No snow.  The house was filled with delicious smells from food that were being cooked.  We started with cheese and pate.  Straight......No crackers or bread.  Only joking, we had crackers and bread.  My mother, Mona, picked up some really great cheeses,  We did not even have to crack into the ones I bought.  I started with the Pork Ribs.  I marinated them with Asian Pork BBQ.  They had been sitting in the marinade for close to 48 hours.  I preheated the oven to 350 and put them on a jelly roll pan.  I baked them for about 1.5 hours.  They were outrageous.....

Christmas Eve morning, Andrew cleaned and cut the pork tenderloins into cutlets, then pounded them so they were very thin.  We then put them in an egg and spice mixture, then refrigerated them til Christmas Day morning.  We had dueling frying pans, I asked Andrew what side of the stove he wanted left or right.  So while I made the frikadeller, Andrew made the cutlets.  I must say that my job was far easier than his.  I prepared the meat for the frikadeller also om Christmas Eve Morning, and let the flavors meld together.  On Christmas Day, it was up to him to bread, dry and fry....

Phew, what a job he had.  Good thing he had the 15" cast iron pan.

Just looking at them, yummy......

......then came the onion.........they were hands down THE BEST....
In the pot behind the onions were medisterpolse, they are our son, Andrew's favorite.  Let me tell you they were fantastic.

 Christmas was a fantastic celebration.

Over the past 4 days we celebrated Christmas as an entire family.  Our small little family was together with friends shared stories, and are happy for what we have.  We celebrated our Family Traditions and invited very special people to enjoy our holiday with us.  By the grace of God, we still have everyone together, we shared good times, not so good times, but I would never trade those times, because it makes us who we are....

Here are a few more...

Merry Christmas
